Delete Hkey Local Machine Software
Hello Lei Peng,
I understand that you are inquiring about deleting a registry key. I would not suggest removing the registry key. There shouldnt be a reason to proceed with removing a registry key for an application to function successfully. If you had created a backup of your registry please double click on the .reg file and restore the modification made. If you did not backup the deleted key or registry, please run a System Restore prior to the deletion. Once everything has been restored successfully.
When above command executed then it point to 32 bit registry not the 64 bit registry. I know the reason the 'HKEYLOCALMACHINE SOFTWARE' convert to HKEYLOCALMACHINE SOFTWARE Wow6432Node so it point to 32 bit registry. My question how to delete the 64 bit registry using 32 bit installer (internally use the batch file) via command prompt. Later I realized that the HKEYLOCALMACHINE Software AVAST Software is a reparse point or registry link that links to the following key on Windows 64-bit systems: HKEYLOCALMACHINE Software WOW6432Node AVAST Software. But, since the Avast uninstaller had wiped out the above key, the reparse point still remains but is orphaned.
-Attempt to run/install the application in Compatibility Mode (Windows XP)
- The key I am trying to delete is HKEYLOCALMACHINE Software Microsoft ShudderLTD PSGuard. If anyone has any other ideas, it would be much appreciated. This thing is stubborn. - Apr 02, 2017 Running 150, recently installed. Noticed in registry there is a Google Chrome key in both HKCU and HKLM. Chrome was my default browser but uninstalled prior to installation of 1703. (Fast Ring upgrade, not clean install) When I try to.
- HKEYLOCALMACHINE, often abbreviated as HKLM, is one of several registry hives that make up the Windows Registry. This particular hive contains the majority of the configuration information for the software you have installed, as well as for the Windows operating system itself.
- HKEYLOCALMACHINE SOFTWARE Wow6432Node ORACLE KEYE1Local HKEYLOCALMACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet services (see Keys below) Keys. Delete any keys with names that start with 'Oracle' and contain 'E1Local'. Delete this directory: c: Oracle E1Local. If you cannot delete the E1Local subdirectory because a file in that directory is locked.
-Install and run Windows XP Mode and proceed with running the application in the Virtual Environment and accessing it on your Windows 7 GUI.
However if you prefer not to proceed with the steps listed above, I would like to suggest posting your question in one of the Microsoft Developer Network > Forums Home > Visual C++ Forums > Visual C++ General located here:
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to respond to this thread. I look forward to hearing from you. Have a great day.
Thank you,
Aaron
